Fashion Fridays: Twist and Shout

I've been wanting a hair change lately. Yes, I redid my color a few months back and finally got the blonde I'd been asking for. But, with two heads of hair that can literally take a combined 6 hours, I tend to get tired. So I wanted a protective style that would give me and my hair a break.

Enter the rope twists! I finally found someone that I could trust, locally. Simone comes recommended from one of my sorority sisters but had moved away. As soon as I asked around, my girl went to find me someone and realized that Simone had moved back into town! Serendipity, I say!

And so that's how ended up in the chair yesterday morning. The great thing about getting your hair twisted is that all that's required is that you sit in the chair. A little music, a laptop and a hotspot and I was in business!

I haven't had extensions in so long. And this is the first time I've gotten twists. I wanted to do something different so I have purple in the back. Purple, y'all! I like trying out new colors this way so I'm not actually coloring my own hair.

I'm pretty happy with my hair and this purple THO?! I'm so excited about it.
