About Sili Recio

Sili Recio is an Orlando, Florida based Blogger, Activist and the founder of MyMamihood.com.  On the blog, Sili blends storytelling and advocacy to inspire and empower women to change the world. Sili has been named as a Top Blogger by Latina Magazine and has attended White House summit with MomsRising, a grassroots organization advocating for moms and families.

About My Mamihood

My Mamihood began with intent of showing everyone that there is more to motherhood than just being 'mami.'  Women come to My Mamihood for real talk, difficult conversations, funny stories and an honest look at all of the facets motherhood (the good, the bad, and the ugly).

Women and moms read the blog because it makes them laugh, because it's heartfelt, because they're looking for support through a difficult situation, and ultimately because the stories shared here connect with them on a personal level.  On My Mamihood, women gather to support each other, to look for inspiration, a laugh, and a virtual hug.

My Mamihood is also about advocacy and making an impact in the lives of others.  We work with MomsRising and a number of organizations to create change in the world through programs, fundraising and political advocacy.  We're always looking for ways to help uplift our community.

Here at My Mamihood, we believe that it takes a village and that we all have to chip in.  That's what it's really about here at My Mamihood, community.  The women who are a part of this community band together to help and support each other like family.  ?
