Counting My Blessings

It's been a ridiculous 8 days.  What can I say? I live for the chaos (well, not really but, go with me on this, will you?). I (hopefully) have some awesome new followers thanks to the great exposure I got last week.  The first came on Monday when I was selected as the featured blogger.  Then again, I might not because my blog was down most of the day on Tuesday. It caused me great heartache but at the end of the day, I figured there was a reason for everything and let it go as best I could.

I poured my heart out on Wednesday as I felt things piling up around me and found myself potty training on Thursday.  I cautiously wrote about it after the frog princess fell asleep and as an update I'm here to tell you we have been out of diapers (except for sleeping) ever since.  Now that I've gone through this, can someone tell me when the anxiety of her possibly peeing on herself will go away? Because I'm nursing a headache at the moment and I'm wondering if it's because of the "you wanna go potty" loop I have been on the last few days.

My "work week" ended fabulously on Friday. How can I top it you ask? Well, The Stir is doing a series on Mom Bloggers they love. After I re-read the email 3 times to ensure that it wasn't being sent by someone from Nigeria so I could help them claim their inheritance, I squeed (squaud? Squod? What's the plural for squee in the past tense anyways?).  Then I tried to figure out what to send them. I couldn't decide and my friends were no help.

I figured that you would come here and find the funny, heartfelt stuff but ultimately, I started blogging because of my status as a mami so, I went with that and hope that you stick around for the rest.

In case you didn't know, I'm the resident mami over at Have Wine Will Drink and tonight, I tell you a little about a box that's currently in my fridge.

After last week's insanity with schoolwork, I decided to reset and today, I am sitting here typing away after having done the  majority of the non-interactive portion of my work. It feels pretty damn good. This is probably what the frog princess feels like after finally having pooped in the potty this evening!

I have felt so blessed with everyone's comments. Thanks to all that have been visiting from SITS and The Stir.  And to those that read me religiously and show me support in so many ways.  This evening, after I finally had a chance to look through all of the comments left on my fan page I reflected on how blessed and grateful I am to be able to share a part of me that at times seems so personal and still hear you say "I know what you mean".  I've always been moved by the written word because it's got a certain power behind it that I feel threads us together.  Thank you for reminding me why I write and for encouraging me to continue doing it.

If you're new around here don't forget to sign up for the RSS feed, check out the fan page and stalk follow me on Twitter. I look forward to seeing you around the 'hood!
