Fashion Friday: Shopping In Seattle
I was in Seattle for the Microsoft Office Champion's Summit this past week and it was absolutely amazing! While we didn't stay in the Ballard neighborhood (which I think we all fell in love with), we got a chance to head back there on our last day and this beautiful area of Seattle did not disappoint.
Kristin and Kimmie led me to a consignment store that they'd shopped at last year. As soon as we walked in, something caught my eye. I blame Kimmie because she was standing by it. A vintage leather jacket, folks. Which she promptly forbid me from not buying. Mental note: do not go shopping with fantabulous stylists.
Kristin didn't help but, what can I say? They were right. At this shop, I grabbed 3 scarves, an original hobo bag, a beautiful ring and of course, the jacket. Oh wait! I also found a cool watch and a cuff. Shopping in Seattle was a lot more fun than I thought it would be (can you believe I haven't shopped for clothes the last few trips I've been there?).
I immediately wore one of the scarves and learned that patterns can be matched without them looking insane.
What do you think? Was it a good choice?
Oh and what did the jacket cost? A whole $38. Winning! I haven't been to a consignment store in ages but was reminded of all of the treasures you can find.
In the coming months, I'll be doing a little fashion find each month with a small budget and a couple of my girls so we can show you how easy it can be to pick a few pieces here and there in order to make your closet efficient and awesome. Stay tuned!
Did you buy anything fabulous this week?
