The Sky Is Falling! What Happened to Our Socials?

I am coming down from an extreme panic attack. A bit ago, I was unceremoniously thrown off the Meta platforms. Due to my general disposition and line of work, I automatically thought that I’d been hacked. Let me tell y’all that there is NO level of panic greater than this when you admin several business pages. The possibility of someone taking hold of all those systems is enough to make you pass out from the panic attack.

After making several attempts to reset login and working through the 2FA, I realized that we were, in fact, dealing with a BIG outage. How big, you ask? Big enough for what seems like NONE OF US can log in.

As is our custom when one of our connection point goes down, we just roll on to the next. Imagine my SHOCK when I went to Twitter (no, I’ll never call it X) and found that I was also logged out of there. What in the world?

So here I am, on my own platform figuring y’all are also panic stricken and lost, trying to commiserate in the one place that I have some control of. This is a BIG reminder to build out your email lists AND it’s a big reminder for the consumers of content as to why we are forever asking that you sign up.

Otherwise, how will you know that the Brujeria Blueprint workshop is starting next Tuesday and you need to go ahead and join in? Or that I started consulting after a whole lot of thoughts and prayers?

Do you know I’m having a sale in the shop for the entire month of March in honor of my birthday (use code SPRUNG for 15% off your purchase)? How will you be blessed with memes and GIFs?

Make sure you sign up, friends! I feel like I’m back in 2010. You remember comment hour? Youngin’s! We used to all agree to meet up at a specific time on the Twitters and then share AND READ blog posts that we liked (or wrote). It was a WHOLE VIBE!

So I guess that on top of reminding you to sign up for your faves mailing lists, I’m asking that you drop a link in the comments to something you’ve read and enjoyed.

Afterward, you can go fold some laundry while the socials are down. Or do some work cuz I know some of you are on the clock!
