A Look Back
As I inch towards my baby girl's first birthday, I am looking back to the journal I have kept since we found out we were having her. It's amazing that a year has gone by and now I can hold her and cuddle her and love her all I want to (and I am not on bed rest: thank you Jesus!). Here's what I said to my frog princessexactly one year ago.
Confessions of a Skinny Bitch
I am a skinny bitch. I mean let’s call it like it is. I’m the chick you give the evil eye to when you’re at the gym (if, let’s say, I still had my gym membership). I’m the girl whose friends call her skinny bitch to her face and think nothing of it. I’ve always kept my mouth shut about being thin. Apologizing, without knowing , for the way I look. I avert my eyes when someone speaks about weight feeling as if I should take blame for someone else’s battles with their body. That’s about to end.

As we approach the frog princess's 1st birthday, I am looking back and reading the journal I've been keeping for her since I was pregnant.
