I don’t have the appropriate parting words. I have words but they haven’t all formulated in my heart yet. What I have is love and gratitude for all the years he gave us.

It's just us. The Frog Princess and I. We have matching pajamas but no special dress up clothes. I struggle between wanting to stay in bed and driving around just to be out of the house. Between making breakfast and taking a break because I've spent hours in the kitchen the last 3 days and its still not clean. It's just 2 of us, what the hell?

Who plans for a pandemic? I surely did not. None of my friends have, either. As I mentioned in one of the chats I have going on with my crew, we are in unchartered parenting territory, friends!

Almost one week out of my year in white, I’m still adjusting. And because far be it for me to hold space for only one thing in my life (or 2), I had the pleasure of revealing the cover of my book, If Dominican Were a Color, on February 3rd.

We are staring at 2020 and of course, I’m staring at the word(s) that will guide my actions for the year. Do you pick a word of the year?

Baby girl turned ten. I’m so grateful for the day. For the year. For my heart being so connected to hers. Happy birthday, Frog Princess.

Some days, we have to face some truths, head on. And some days, we have to let some things marinate until we are ready to accept their truths. I think I’ve arrived at a lot of truths and these thoughts on integrity are some of them.

Some days I feel lost. On a boat in the middle of the sea with nothing but the wind and the waves to move me.

There is so much to learn. In life. In the religion. So much to impart before my time on this earth is up. So much to take in.

It’s been a LONG time since I went to Disney with my siblings. I got a chance to share a little of the magic with them for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween and it did not disappoint. It reminded me that there’s magic within the magic and all it takes is being present.
